Finned-Tube Heat Exchangers

Finned-tube heat exchangers are coil assemblies used in commercial HVAC equipment and industrial heat transfer systems. Designwinds produces fin-and-tube products configured to customer specifications for both standard and engineered-to-order programs.

Typical applications include air-cooling coils, condenser coils, process heat transfer, and waste heat capture in industrial environments. Materials include copper tubes with aluminum or copper fins; stainless and carbon steel are available for specialized service.

Microchannel Heat Exchangers

Microchannel heat exchangers use brazed aluminum construction to deliver compact thermal performance for air-cooled refrigeration, condensing, and HVAC applications. We manufacture microchannel coils in a range of geometries to match customer designs.

Brazed aluminum construction reduces weight and material cost compared to traditional copper/aluminum fin-and-tube assemblies, and is suitable for applications where size and weight are constrained. Used in unitary HVAC, transportation refrigeration, and packaged process cooling.

Heat Recovery Components

Heat recovery components capture waste thermal energy from process and ventilation airstreams for reuse elsewhere in a building or facility. Designwinds supplies heat recovery products to commercial HVAC systems and industrial process applications.

Configurations include energy recovery wheels, plate-style heat recovery cores, run-around loop coil pairs, and brazed plate-and-fin recuperators supplied to OEM customers for integration into air handlers and energy recovery ventilators.
